    José Luis Irizarry is an assistant professor of public administration and program/student advisor for the Graduate Certificate in Management of Nonprofit Organizations at the University of Illinois Springfield. He teaches courses and engages in research on nonprofits, public administration, pedagogy, public service norms and values, civic engagement, and social equity. He has published articles in Public Integrity and chapters on civic engagement and the nonprofit sector in Civic Engagement in the Composition Classroom: A Guide to Community-Based Writing.
